Today it has rained all day. I am just sitting inside watching the birds fight over the feeder and sewing pjs for Butterball while listening to old CDs.

Creative Priorities

I notice lately I am more creative in my thinking. I try things that never would have occurred to me before. However, I also notice that there is not as much room in my noggin’ anymore and my creative juices seem to flow in only one direction at a time.

Yesterday I compiled all the stats from TITT and was going to post them. Then I heard that Butterball can only sleep at night in the pj’s I made her for Christmas. Her little fingers and toes get too cold in all the other pj’s she fits in. She is not quite so much a Butterball anymore, as much as a green bean. She is in the 90% height wise and only 7% weight wise. Can you say tall drink of water? So while I ran down the hill into town, I stopped at the fabric store. I mean its a long drive, might was well stop while I am down there, right?

When I got home Ladybug and Butterball were already at the homestead. That was so distracting, I never got back to the laptop. Could you resist these faces?

I simply could not type what with my fingers being eaten alive:

So today I find myself uninspired to write the results out (I have high expectations of myself to be witty-ish) and find myself unable think of anything but clearing the laptop off my work area and setting up the sewing machine. Because this cute stuff:

It is calling to me saying “Butterball’s piggys are cold…fix that!” And I can’t ignore that voice, could you?

PS: There is also this AFC Championship game going on and the underdog Chargers are winning 3-0! Go Chargers!!!!!! Can you tell I live in San Diego?

EDITED BECAUSE IT”S FUNNY: My husband is a late comer to football fanaticism. I was raised that way and trained taught him in the beginnings of the our relationship. Still he has a much to learn….

He just said, “Aw damnit Hun, the Pirates just made a touchdown” LMAO.

Feeling the Season (OH AND GO VOTE FOR ME)

I am sitting here, listening to Christmas music on the surround sound, gazing at my lovely tree (now we have tinsel, thanks Bear and MacD!!!) The snowman on the fireplace has been replaced by a baby doll and its bottle, there is a purple crayon in the middle of my heirloom creche and one of the sheep has made its way to the pantry. It doesn’t get any better than this. Here is a gratuitous artsy fartsy tree pic:

Now I love Sandy and her writing, but seriously you all can’t tell me that a “buttered ear of gourd with a nice flatulent slice of watermelon and a big bottle of cold pinot noir” is not 100% tastier than a “buttered ear of banana with a nice over-ripe slice of watermelon and a big bottle of cold soda”. Don’t deny your taste buds, go vote. I am number 12, in case you were wondering. Come on…I have Klingons.

I Am Actually Deep and Thoughtful

Sometimes I just can’t stop “being” even though I want to be creative and thought provoking and write, write, write. But “being” for me is impossible to ignore. I am what I am. And I am happiest being Mom/Grama.

So my thoughtful post for Friday is this….

You should have all been hanging out there daily on your way home anyway. I just hate that I have to remind you over and over.

I won a contest, but to be honest, I thought Jack Klugman was dead.

My husband is now sleeping with his head under the covers because he is afraid of me.

I must post this picture. It is simply the most adorable thing. I bet I could ask you for a million dollars and after gazing into Butterball’s Big Eyes there is no way you could refuse me.

Edited to add: Now that you can’t resist my whims and are under the influence of those big eyes I have a question to the techies out there. Run over to my 365 project and tell HOW on earth did that font change on almost the entire page???????? I have the free wordpress so I can’t change CSS. Any Ideas? Great big thanks to Smarmoofus who helped me fix it! I can’t leave a comment on your website Smar (it won’t let me), but I really appreciate your help.
