Thirteen Things I have done since my power cord died:
- Sewed the g-babes Christmas pajamas (pics below) and read them The Night Before Christmas.
- Enjoyed a movie (I Am Legend) with Mr. Vixen and Sparkles yesterday. Great show.
- Discovered the joy of Wii. I had no idea it was so fun. One night we all played bowling and boxing until 3am!!!!
- Cooked the best standing rib roast and yorkshire pudding I have ever made and I have made 25 of them. Not sure why this one was so good, but yum, yum, yum.
- Took 235 pictures Christmas morning. Yea, I know, overkill. But the new 2gig card was screaming to be filled.
- Swept up more pine needles than I thought possible. This tree just keeps on giving.
- Listened to 675 hours of holiday music.
- Wrapped 30 presents.
- Slept in on Christmas day for the first time in 23 years!
- Laughed until my sides hurt.
- Braved W*lmart and Costc* on Christmas Eve. Seriously stupid on my part.
- Gorged myself on Honeybaked Ham and potatoes supreme.
- Tried not to pick up my laptop more than 600 times a day, only to realize it’s battery is dead.

That much music???? I think you may have listened to more than us.
No pine needles for us, I am allergic so fake tree, but we will have pine needles outside from our 60″ wreath.
Hubby braved Walmart to get me some cilantro 5 minutes before they closed on Christmas Eve, he said he had to employee some old football moves to get to the produce department as employees were trying to tell him the store was closing.

Sounds like a great holiday!

My crazy trip to the grocery store on Xmas eve was oddly sedate. Twilight Zone kind of calm, which was nice for how quick it went, but disturbing nonetheless.
You just missed me putting up a TT for this week. But glad you stopped by even without a TT up. I’m always happy to see you visit. π (And maybe a little envious that I don’t get as much time to visit as I like. But I’m working on it. *grin*)

Amazing the things we can accomplish without the internet…and we think its a neccessity π
I wasn’t brave enough for the evils of WM this year, or the mall. Hats off to you π
I think my house is covered in pine needles and tinsel strands – that tinsel may be through the house until next Christmas lol!
Have a wonderful new year!

I’m still avoiding Costco – you are indeed a brave woman! I can honestly say that I’ve never had a standing rib or yorkshire pudding, so my guess is that yours is awesome! π
Happy TT Vixen!

Sounds like you had a great time and got a lot accomplished as well. I wasn’t brave enough to go shopping at all on Christmas Eve.
December 27, 2007 at 3:22 pm
I haven’t fired up my laptop all week. It’s probably dead as a hammer.

Grammy Jammies are the best! I’m the older sister, just like LadyBug. My relationship with my maternal grammy was one of the deepest of my life. She loved me unconditionally. She was an amazing seamstress and for holidays and birthdays and just because she would make clothes for my sister and me. She always remembered how important it was that they were different and that they had pockets for the treasures we’d find. Thank you for helping me remember her today!
I didn’t make a standing rib roast, but this year’s cookies rocked! Isn’t it funny how some years it all works and other years it’s like the salt didn’t take or something!
WwwwMmmart and $co on Christmas Eve… woman, do you have a death wish? That was just insane!
December 27, 2007 at 6:16 pm
Those children are just too cute! I love that ponytail!
Sounds like you had a wonderful day, especially the laughing part. That’s my ideal Christmas for sure.
I hope you have an equally joyous New Year!

I loved the pictures. I hope you get up and running by the time Year of the Rat commences.
December 28, 2007 at 5:59 pm
All that holiday music? I can stand it for about two minutes! If you went to Walmart on Christmas Eve, you are braver than I am!
December 30, 2007 at 7:27 pm
You are doing so much better on the commenting thing than I am. I love this list. We have made a “resolution” for ourselves that there will be no computers or t.v.s or ipods, etc for one family evening a week. We have chosen some great family games and just talked to each other. Now our kidlets are getting in the swing too.
Okay I will hush. I was SOOOOOOO glad to read the great ear news. That’s awesome.
HAPPIEST NEW YEAR TO YOU!!
